Born and raised in Massachusetts, my roots are deeply tied to the coast. Growing up on Cape Cod and later settling on the North Shore, I’ve always been drawn to the rhythms of coastal living. The shifting coastline, weathered shingled houses, overcast skies, and the unmistakable aroma of native coastal plants have been a constant source of inspiration.
There’s a timeless beauty in the rugged resilience of the coast. Furniture built to last—crafted from sturdy materials—only becomes more beautiful with age, weathered and worn into something even more meaningful. I find inspiration in the natural patina of moss-covered rocks, the abstract art etched by time and water on boat hulls, and the soft, sun-faded hues of cotton kissed by endless summers.
Living here also means embracing the elements. With the right outerwear, you can stay outside all year long, fighting the good fight against seasonal affective disorder. From stormy winter walks along the beach to crisp autumn hikes through salt marshes, staying connected to the outdoors keeps the spirit alive, even in the darkest months.
For me, coastal living is more than a lifestyle; it’s a way of seeing the world. It’s about appreciating the interplay of durability and imperfection, of time and tide, and how they leave their mark on everything they touch.
