Dansk Kobenstyle Red Pot
Here is a beautiful Dansk "Kobenstyle" Pot.
These early Dansk designs are sought after by collectors all over the world, and are a must have kitchen completists. Like most out there today, this piece is worn and has some chips in its enamel, though the steel itself is in great condition. As the label indicates, this Pot is a 1960s version of this classic.
Although its name might suggest otherwise, Dansk is and always has been an American company. It was founded in 1954 by American entrepreneur Ted Nierenberg, in partnership with Danish designer Jens Quistgaard. Quistgaard designed the majority of the company's products for 30 years, winning many awards with his work for the company.
Over the past half century, Dansk’s commitment to distinctive design for the casual American lifestyle has endured both in homes and museums, including the Louvre in Paris, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.
